Front End Web Developer

Based in Trumbull, CT, we’re looking for a dynamic and talented Front End Web Developer to join our growing team and contribute to exciting projects that push the boundaries of web technology.

Position Overview:

As a Front End Web Developer at SFA Marketing, you’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining engaging, user-friendly web experiences. You’ll work closely with our design and development teams to turn high-level concepts into functional and visually appealing websites. Your work will directly impact our clients’ digital presence and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain responsive, mobile-first web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience.
Help manage various projects after handoff from the creative team, assist with establishing development timelines, ensuring timely and successful execution.
Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability.
Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure high performance and compatibility across various devices and browsers.
Develop custom HTML email messages for use across various email clients.
Implement best practices for front-end development, including code quality, accessibility, and SEO.
Stay updated with the latest web development trends and technologies to continuously improve our processes and offerings.
Work closely with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
Work directly with the client(s) and internal stakeholders to establish project scope and direction.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in front-end web development.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, PHP, and JavaScript (ES6+).
Familiarity with Bootstrap framework
Experience with building and managing custom WordPress sites & themes.
Experience with building and managing custom CMS platforms, such as Shopify, Joomla & Squarespace.
Experience with Processwire CMS is a plus.
Familiarity with site management interfaces such as WHM/cPanel or SiteGround
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.
Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
Experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS or LESS) and build tools (e.g., Webpack or Gulp).
Basic knowledge of back-end technologies and RESTful APIs is a plus.
Experience with Mailchimp or similar campaign messaging tool is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
2+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Xd) is a plus.
